Meet Dr. Elise Geldon

Dr. Elise GeldonDr. Elise Geldon is a born and bred Montgomery County native, and professes herself to be simply “wild” about animals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Princeton University and graduated magna cum laude from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Following graduation, Dr. Geldon completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and then worked at a small animal practice in Olney, Maryland for almost 5 years. Dr. Geldon, a true animal scientist, has traveled the world and studied abroad in Australia, taking classes and studying the social behavior of dolphins.

In 2014 Dr. Geldon bought Dr. Weitzman's practice and renamed it Liberty Falls Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Geldon is dedicated to carrying on the legacy of Dr. Weitzman’s well-respected and beloved practice in a personal and compassionate style that places pets and their people first. She is a warm and welcoming vet who looks forward to developing life-long lasting relationships with each and every one of her new pet patients and their family members.

Dr. Geldon has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, behavior, and alternative therapies, including acupuncture. She is a member of the AVMA, Maryland VMA, and AAFP. She lives in Potomac with her husband, their two young boys, Dylan and Evan, one dog and two cats. She enjoys traveling, horseback riding, scuba diving, reading, and watching movies in her (rare) spare time.
